Letter: Donations sought for community farm (Printed Feb. 8, 2008)
Editor:
The Ray Angers Community Farm is located in West Newfield. It is owned and operated by the York County Shelter Programs. Eight formerly homeless men and women are participating in a horticultural education program at this community farm and beginning a perennial and herb business. They are looking for the donation of a hoop greenhouse to grow a large number of bare root perennials that have been donated to the horticultural program. They are also looking for the donation of a functioning Internet-accessible laptop computer for the greenhouse business. The residents are willing to dismantle and transport a donated hoop greenhouse to the Farm.
Please contact MaryDoyle at the York County Shelter Programs at 324-1137 or at 793-2759 or by email at: maryd@ycspi.org
Thanks for supporting this project.
